Which Bearded Dragon is Real???

DSC01378Clay Play at its BEST!!!  Kate and Sheridan have been taking my clay classes for nearly 5 years. Their mom, Chi, has watched and supported the girls’ creative experiences but this last session was a little different.  This time Mama Chi got her hands dirty!  She hand built the replica Bearded Dragon without the real thing to model.  Not bad for her first time, eh??!!  She did bring her inspiration in to match the colors but structurally it was by memory!  Looks like artistic nature runs in the family!  GREAT job Girls I can’t wait to see what comes next!!

School Projects with Clay

mona's tri-fold!Here is an example of an “A” student’s work from a GATE program at a Laguna Niguel Middle School.  Their teachers sent students into the world to find Medieval related activities.  They were required to sign up for a course and learn a new task from an ancient time!  Fired Up provides clay instruction and all the tools and supplies necessary to complete a clay piece or more from scratch.  Please inquire if you have a small group of children and/or adults that would be interested in hand building with clay.  Another Birthday idea…invite four or five close friends and have a potters wheel session!  Bring a cooler with drinks and snacks and cake, while enjoying our Ole Hanson backyard garden with native plants and gnomes to keep you company!  See you soon :D
