The Eve of 5 YEARS of Fired UP
Who woulda thunk it??? Five years ago tonight I was pregnant with Willow Mina and attending UCI to become a teacher when I made the most memorable detour in my life journey! With the help of my Dad, friends, and family I embarked on the path less traveled…Small Business Owner! Nobody knows what it means to own a business unless they have owned a business! Thus the years of craziness that I have put myself and family and friends thru!!!! And looky here…FIVE years later we have made it through the recessions and are FIRED up for all sorts of artistic avenues: clay impressions, clay classes, birthday parties, tile walls, potters wheel, healing therapy, girl’s night out, Indian Princesses, scouting badges, teacher gifts, first dates, wedding engagements, bridal showers, baby showers, prom invites, school projects, and parent/tot gatherings!!! The Ole Hanson house has given us the feel of home and the freedom to BE who we wanna be when we create! We are ALL blessed to have Fired Up here in the SC! Thanks for hiring me 8 years ago Cec…I think you found what you were looking for in me that lovely May day when I was on my first walk about with Justin at 6 weeks old!!! We both took a chance and the God above kept us working together for years until you released your first born to me !!! THANK you for seeing my abilities and trusting I would add further to your creation! I am truly BLESSED to have you the reader seeing this Blog post…HERE’S to FIRED UP SC!!! Does it get ANY better than this??? I think not!!! My Grandpa was visiting from Ohio and you know what he did for the FIRST time in his life? That’s right…he Painted ceramics at Fired Up! Sweetest thing EVER! He painted a gift (cannot say for who cuz he’s still traveling tee hee) AND he made a pinch pot with my clay impression scraps!! Too cute I tell ya! Next time you have an older relative come to visit please consider bringing him/her/them to Fired Up to create a lasting memory with you and your kids! I’ll even open the back gate for you so they can bypass the front stairs. Fired Up to help you and yours experience the peaceful side of painting!
Bring your ladies group in to Fired Up for a relaxing, creative activity even for those who say, “I’m not an Artist!”. Paint a mug for yourself, a platter for the family, or a gift for a friend, the possibilities are endless and you will be sooooooo HAPPY when you pick up your piece all glazed and fired! This one’s going to be a keeper! My Grandpa Witte, 90 this July, was visiting from Middletown, Ohio so I seized the day and got his hand clay impression with each of the Great Grandchildren in our West Coast Fam. How often does a person say, “Hey check out my hand print with my GREAT Grandpa’s hand print???!!! I LOVE my job so please seize the day for your little one and schedule a Clay Impression Session with me at Fired Up today or when the relatives are in town! Mother’s Day and Father’s Day clay class SIGN up now! Participants will design and create a gift for their parents out of clay the first week of class. Then in their second session they will paint their masterpiece. Fired UP will glaze and fire all gifts and they will be ready for pick up within a week. Invite a friend or make a new one!!
