You know how some business owners say, “I have the BEST customers” but you are not sure if they are just blowin’ smoke out their ars???  I am REALLY saying…I HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMERS…and I freeking mean it!!!!  One family in particular is popping outta my mind right now…the Grise Family!  These folks have been buying gift certificates for birthday parties ever since they took their first clay class hmmm 4 + years ago.  If their children attend a party, it’s a Fired UP gift certificate for a gift!  The only time it changes is if our kids go to the same party…cuz whaddya think my boy gives??? Tee hee sorry for that Jen  But this props call out goes to the man of the house…Mr. John Grise of Alder Landscape Service!  He noticed Mama Sarah needed a little help, okay A LOT of help, with her front yard at Fired UP.  He took it upon himself to bring his crew in to demo and re-vitalize our entrance to the studio.  Fixed my sprinkler heads, planted grass seed, new plants, flowers around my (empty) sign post, and stepping stones and WA-LA the grass is growing and we are lookin’ GOOD!  THANK you John and family for your support and kindness, I am GRATEFUL and HONORED to have you all in my Fired UP life!!!  For any readers with large properties, business parks, or HOA landscapes PLEASE feel free to check out Alder for your landscape service needs.  www.alderlandscape.com  AMAZING work…THANK you again!  PS this first  pic after completion doesn’t do the yard work justice, come by and check out our new digs and maybe paint a piece while you are here!

CHEERS to ALL you hard working, child rearing, creative souls!!!  Join me at my Home away from Home this Saturday from 12-6pm.  The studio will be open and the house will be pumpin’ with a family paint session, birthday parties, and lotsa Mommy Day pick ups.  A special treat will be served to all Moms…Fresh squeezed OJ & Champ mmm with a strawberry slice or two?  We will be closed on Sunday May 9, 2010…this Mama needs an entire day off!!!  Peace Out Fired UP

Who woulda thunk it???  Five years ago tonight I was pregnant with Willow Mina and attending UCI to become a teacher when I made the most memorable detour in my life journey!  With the help of my Dad, friends, and family I embarked on the path less traveled…Small Business Owner!  Nobody knows what it means to own a business unless they have owned a business!  Thus the years of craziness that I have put myself and family and friends thru!!!!  And looky here…FIVE years later we have made it through the recessions and are FIRED up for all sorts of artistic avenues: clay impressions, clay classes, birthday parties, tile walls, potters wheel, healing therapy, girl’s night out, Indian Princesses, scouting badges, teacher gifts, first dates, wedding engagements, bridal showers, baby showers, prom invites, school projects, and parent/tot gatherings!!!  The Ole Hanson house has given us the feel of home and the freedom to BE who we wanna be when we create!  We are ALL blessed to have Fired Up here in the SC!  Thanks for hiring me 8 years ago Cec…I think you found what you were looking for in me that lovely May day when I was on my first walk about with Justin at 6 weeks old!!!  We both took a chance and the God above kept us working together for years until you released your first born to me !!!  THANK you for seeing my abilities and trusting I would add further to your creation!  I am truly BLESSED to have you the reader seeing this Blog post…HERE’S to FIRED UP SC!!!  May we ALL be Fired Up for life, peace, and happiness!  Nurture Your Inner Artist…Hope to See you soon!!!  ALWAYS, sarah

After collecting my customers aluminum cans, wine bottles, water bottles, and beer bottles for one year I made my way down to the recyclers bin and made a whopping $23.00.  Definitely NOT doing it for the $$!!!!  Keep our earth clean by picking up your trash and not flicking your ciggie butts out your window, cuz guess what???  they don’t just disappear!  Ok am gunna step down off me soap box now  Recycle recycle recycle and RESPECT our MOTHER earth!!!  Peace out friends!

Kudos to you all who made it in to paint a piece for Dad! I will post some pics AFTER the holiday Hopefully Daddy will enjoy a hot cup of coffee in his new mug, or save a few coins in his football bank, or even enjoy the size of his lil ones hand prints cast into clay and painted by your aspiring artist!! We will be closed on Sunday June 21 to celebrate Father’s Day with our family. Come visit us this summer for creative family FUN!!! PS clay classes are filling up FAST register SOON!
