It doesn’t happen often that a young person comes along and blows my artistic mind. She is barely 20 years of age on this earth and yet capable of this mastery…speechless…and we at Fired Up were fortunate enough to see her work and create the above set. Ariel, you are AMAZING and TALENTED and I thank you for spending your summer at Fired Up! I am willing to give discounts on sets of dishes if you wish, just ask. And with no time limits or studio fees you can take your time and work at your own pace. Shipping is also available, the plates above flew all the way to Boston, unscathed!!! These lovely Grand-Mama’s have been getting the girls (their granddaughters) together once a year for an adventure. It began with visiting national parks, hence the name of the group McGilchrist Shores National Park. And lucky for Me they decided to explore local. We had the pleasure of painting with them last summer…look up my Blog from then and you can see how they have grown! Well mannered, quite talented, and just plain great to have around, THANKS for coming to Fired Up again Ladies, I can’t wait to see what your pieces look like after they are fired! Ever thought about the ceramic studio all to yourself and your girlfriends and their kids?  No bothering your neighbor, no ummm who’s baby is crying, no don’t touch that…Come in to Fired Up’s kid friendly ceramic studio and create a work of art at your and your child’s pace.  We are here to help you roll out clay and make a memorable clay impression and then later to help you with ideas for painting.  You would be surprised how many women tell me they are not creative and then Wa-La they create a piece to make ya jealous!  We are willing to open out of business hours to give you and yours the place to yourself!  As a professional mother of older kids and a juggler of them in the ceramic studio over the last 8 years believe me when I say, it can be done! Visit our historic home on Avenida Granada in beautiful downtown San Clemente and feel the vibe of freedom and creativity in the air!!  My arms are open to hug you and squeeze your bebe upon entry cmon take a chance and enjoy the world of clay that I have created for you!

Adults and Kids alike will enjoy a Fired Up party and all the trimmings you bring with you!  This group had margaritas and Mexican food to start things off and then they went full steam into the painting!  Mikki and crew celebrated for about 4 hours for her 40th Birthday celebration!  Children parties on the other hand will last aboot 2 hours with painting, food, drink, and cake.  No need to include gift bags cuz they will be getting their treat within a week when you pass out their pieces after firing. Have a group of friends with babies that would like to PLAY with CLAY???  Call Sarah at 949-498-3929 to schedule a date and time.  How about in the morning when the babies are fresh and the coffee is hot!  Hand prints in clay can be a great gift or personal keepsake.  Our first clay session will be rolling out and designing your masterpiece (you are an artist the moment you cross my threshold).  Fired UP will bisque fire your piece, then you & baby & friends gather once more for painting FUN!  Our kid friendly studio is ready for your toddler to taunt our shelves with their curiosity…no worries here please feel welcome.  There are a slew of toys to play with and bikes to ride.  My kids both grew up in the studio, it doesn’t get any more kid safe and cozy than at Fired Up San Clemente!  Mom’s Groups may like to consider your next Outing to be held at our Ole Hanson house.  Or better yet, your next Mom’s Night Out…oh ya wine, cheese, and ceramics…doesn’t get any better than that??!!  Hope to see you and yours sooner than later!

This is a group of ladies from my past that has re-entered my present and lemme tell ya I look forward to the future!  The Harris girls have touched my life in so many ways.  They are a family of teachers and coaches that have dedicated their lives to children from elementary to high school, including mine!  Talk aboot GOOD people, it doesn’t get any better than them!  For Mothers Day this year each daughter painted a teacup and saucer for Mama Harris while she painted the teapot. After her base coat was applied, each daughter then painted her flower design onto Mama’s teapot!  Wa-La AMAZING results followed and I cannot wait to hear how they feel after seeing the finished product.  When I presented the box to Kassie she told me it was the BEST Mothers Day idea they had ever planned together! (goosebumps) That made my day, week, and year!!!  I LOVE making peoples days!!!  Are we Fired UP or what??!!

From Claremont to San Clemente, Fired Up is the place to go when guests arrive from out of town! Bring your nieces, nephews, moms, dads, grandparents, everyboodie!!!!  We have a wide selection of choices and more colors than we need to choose from in the paint room.  Rather than sit in a dark movie theatre being quiet, why not come to our ceramic studio and chat, wine, and dine while you allow your creative juices to flow into your masterpiece.  Don’t think you have any artistic talent?? We say rubbish!  There are hundreds of stamps, plenty of stencils, art idea books overflowing my shelves, and other people’s creations for inspiration.  Fired Up is here to help, advise, and guide but you are the artist and you will be painting your own piece, thus Paint Your Own Ceramics Studio…tee hee! BUT you CAN do it!  I hear it daily from all you humble artists that say you can’t but then come up with the most amazing pieces!!!  You CAN at Fired Up and you WILL if you make the effort to walk thru our historic Ole Hanson door and into your future as a ceramicist!  Warning…you may never want to leave and you may fall victim to being one of my dare I say it…REGULARS!!!  But from what I hear from the ones I have now, it ain’t so bad! We are ALL a little Mad here!  Teacups and saucers for each Guest to paint for the Bride to Be and a Teapot for each person to mark with their FAVorite design. Definitely a set to remember!  The lovely bride choose her color tones and her SPECIAL ladies get to work painting, drinking, and chatting!!
